Phil's Beast Wars Fuzor Air Hammer Review

Air Hammer

Air Hammer is one of a pair of basic Fuzors to be released first along with Quickstrike. Air Hammer takes the body, wings & legs of a hawk and adds on the head, tail and dorsal fin of a Hammerhead shark. In this mode the tail moves about on a ball joint a little and the mouth open - it's spring loaded and will snap close. The hawk legs are ball jointed at hip & knee and bend at the ankle.

TF: fold the hammerhead and fin back and up. Look at the underside. Pull the hips out to the sides. Pull the body, mouth & tail up and forward so it's projected away from the wings.. Turn the body round 90 degrees so the mouth arm is on you left. Fold the front of the body down and fold the head up. Close the chest up. Fold the body further up so it locks flat against the top of the wing. Bring the beast hips together to form the robot's waist, straighten the legs so the red faces forward and position the wing.

Standard basic articulation - ball joints at elbow, shoulder, hips and knees. He's also got bending ankles and a turning head. No hands - the spring loaded mouth ends one arm and the blade like tail ends the other.

Adequate as a basic. The white of it makes it quite plain and it pales in comparison with it's case brother Quickstrike.

Air Hammer was never released in Japan, hasn't been recoloured and was never remolded. This is it for this toy !
