Megatron

I should start this mail I feel by quoting Morbo, the evil alien news reader from Futurama:

EARTHLINGS do not yet know the meaning of pain and suffering

Partially as a comment on this afternoon's Tankoresque fest, partly cos I like Mordo (and Futurama in general) but mainly cos it's got some relevance......

I should also thank HM's customs for neither seizing nor charging the parcel I received today.

Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only, the maniacal Megatron !

Yup my re-issue Megs is here with 0 fees, fines, charges or court appearances. And woo is this a good toy. I'll assume everyone knows what a std Megs is like and cut to the chase. The box is laid out the same as the std US one with the US accessories pictured and visible. However under Meg's picture are the Japanese accessories - bullets/missiles and a sword. Sword's nice - BIG. While we're on the subject of hand weapons what is that stick for ? Answers please in an email.....

The bullets - there's a fair number (20) in case you loose some - can be fired by Megs - the entrance to the chamber is covered by the head in robot mode to give you some idea where it is. The Mechanism only works in gun mode - the body needs to be closed, so no swinging an arm away and firing bullets from his arm pit. Range is about 6 - 8 ft. No problem firing the gun with the silencer in place.

That had been well publicised as a feature on this Megs. It was only when I built the ground cannon out of the accessories that I realised the molding was different here too..... There's a launcher mechanism built into the rear piece of the cannon too activated by a pull back trigger on the side. I'm impressed by this - Big robot with working ground based cannon :-) Range again is about 6 - 8 ft, and IIRC Megs can be posed holding the rear piece of the cannon in his hands as a missile launcher.

Great toy - happy.

And what's more my Brave Exe Kaiser is here too !
