I come not to praise Soundwave but to bury him, preferably in a deep dark hole. I don't like this toy.
The toy is supposed to transform into a Stealth Jet style space ship. Supposed. I can't get it into jet mode, too many pegs, won't align properly. When you do get close the back just looks wrong with all the straight lines being on diagonals. This sort of thing does not make me want the larger version. The main part of the plane is blue.
TF to robot mode is more simple - pull the sides of the body of the jet out to the sides and up round the nosecone. Fold everything back locking the waist into the robot body - when I tried the reverse TF for this review the waist popped apart - and turning the legs in 90 degrees at the knee - reversing this will probably pop them off at the hip. Fold the wings back onto the robot's back where one of the sets of holes should peg into the waist.
Soundwave's robot has had Grey added to the colours for the robot limbs. His articulation consists of ball jointed shoulders, hips and knees. Like the larger version, the LoC is somewhat spoilt by the huge chunk of nosecone hanging off of it.
AVOID !
I'm of the opinion that this toy is misnamed. The black for the body of the jet with the light blue for the robot limbs together with the general form of the jet puts me in mind of the G2 Cyberjet Air Raid, whose name has been used on another toy in this set - see LoC Jetfire. Of course comparison to even the worst Cyberjet mould puts this toy in the shade.
