Dreadwing

The beast mode for Dreadwing is a Redish hawk. He's got ball jointed legs, folding back wing ends and a beak. The beak will be important later.

Dreadwing has 2 Minicon ports under the base of each wing. The bird Minicons look better mounted on larger toys then the other beasts being used as a winged backpack, a winged missile or even as a bird sitting on a larger toy's arm G1 Megatron/Soundwave and Laserbeak style. TF: Bend the wing down in the middle, and up at the front rotating through 270 degrees around the ball joint connector with the body Fold the wing halves so they point along the beak. Fold the wing ends back to become the heel spurs. Separate the tail fin and fold down with the wings to become the robot's wings. Fold the legs down to become the robot arms - interestingly a leg has popped out both times I've reviewed this toy but never otherwise ! Fold the head up

Resulting robot has hip joints, shoulders that move up and down at the side and elbows. As well as a joint on his pelvis involving the bird head. We'll leave it at that.

Solid in both modes, best beast Minicon.

Dreadwing is a member of the Predator Attach team along with Snarl & Overbite .

Wedge Shape

Wedge Shape was an exclusive to BIC Camera stores in Japan. Pictures are a little thin on the ground but look here for a small one. He's basically Dreadwing in a brighter red.

Divebomb

All three of the Predator Attack team are used as Botcon exclusives in 2008 reusing G1 Predacon names. He's coloured orangey yellow this time. He's not Sunstorm, he's Divebomb ! Black would have been a) more appropriate and b) a better colour for the toy !

Longview

Longview, previously an Autobot Real Gear, is found in the Universe Mini-Con 10 pack exclusive to K-Mat in the USA and Tescos in the UK. He's a member of the Decepticon Ground Surveillance Mini-Con team.

The beast mode Hawk here has brown fore feathers, a yellowy beige colour for the rear feathers and a white head.

Inspired by: This is Minicon Airazor.
