Bonecrusher

Not put off by the first wave of toys (which has now netted me a pretty penny on eBay) I've bought Bonecrusher and Swindle.

Bonecrusher is meant to be some sort of 6 wheeled armoured vehicle. He's got this odd crane arm thing from the front of the bonnet stretched over the roof of the vehicle, which can be unfolded in front of him. I'm told it's some form of mine clearing device ala the bits on the front of Brawl. It's got a little slider on it to move the claws back and forth. He's also strikingly thin in this mode.

TF: Different. Fold the panels with the front wheels in them forwards, and flip up the little panels under the front set of side windows - this may cost you a fingernail as they're very stiff. Fold down on each side the claw thing inside the rear wheel arch. Fold the crane arm out to the front. Fold the back half of the car up, fold the rear of the sides up and separate the entire top of the car to the sides to form the arm. Fold the legs down so the rear wheels meet in the middle, and lock in place with the pelvis flap. Rotate both legs at the knees so the wheels are on the outside and fold out the front foot claws. fold out the hands, fold the claw arm up on his back and pose.

I think I said before that many of the movie toys have a Vehicon vibe. This is no exception. He got bendable knees, ball jointed hips - somewhat limited as moving a hip causes the waist to come to bits - rotating shoulders, a bend and bicep joint halfway down the arm which can in no way be called an elbow, a folding out claw at the end of each arm and a ball jointed head that can look forward and down.

He does look odd, very alien robot appearance.. And the waist staying together is annoying. But like several other movie toys he does just about work.

Bonecrusher is Movie Wave 2 Deluxe 2, which was also sold in Japan numbered MD-09. Bonecrusher was also in a 3-pack with Jazz & Brawn and a 2-pack with Screen Battles Optimus Prime which was a Target Exclusive in the USA.
