Air Attack Optimus Primal

Why can I never find a ruler when I want one ????   The box for this looks about the same size as the Op Op box but deeper, which is a little strange as there's a whole pile of dead space up the back !  Figure looks like the Op from BM, see here for photos.   Yes his forearms are transparent.   In robot mode you've got a disc launcher in the lower half of the chest - triggered from the rear, and there's a translucent panel above this.  Press this to activate the sound gimmicks - you get some noise along with chest illumination.   If you fire the disc again you get a firing noise now.   If you press the head down you get some voice stuff with some light up in the head.  If you trigger the back pack it starts off the flight noises.   No way to shut these off, you're stuck with them.  Start with the fairly typical articulation - neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, hips and knees..  Left bicep but no right !  The hands have the same thumb types as OpOp, but the fingers are individually jointed at the first and second knuckles.  Fingers have a slight rubbery feel to them too !

To transform: The chest rolls round very similarly to Blast Punch Op, the translucent panel coming further out and switching round to reveal a maximal symbol.   His shoulder pads fold down to cover the arms.   The legs are essentially a flash version of the TMOP legs - the lower legs fold back to become the back of the legs, except here the robot feet and the front of the robot legs swap places to form the back of the beast legs and the beast feet respectively.

Chest still activates the sound, backpack can just about work, as can the disc launcher.  Head has different voices and still lights up.

Bit of a compact review cos it's late and my hands hurt but this is a really great toy, feels like a nice large Op rather than an oversized lump - Supreme Cheetor !   If you can get one then do !
