Phil's Spychanger X-Brawn & Hoist Review

X-Brawn

X-Brawn represents an interesting step for the TF line. The other two Spychangers has been released using Older unreleased G2 Gobot molds as approximations. Since Wildride is an SUV then the unreleased Gobot jeep would have made a reasonable approximation. However they decided to develop a totally new toy and release that instead.

The SUV is mainly silver grey in colour with some green trim underneath. He's of similar proportions and shape to the larger version. The doors both open on this mode.

TF: open the doors, fold the front of the vehicle off to the side to form one arm & swing round at the shoulder, fold the other arm out and in true Spychanger style pull the back of the vehicle down to form the legs.

Robot catches X-Brawn's likeness dead on. He's a solid lump apart from the arms - the thinner one swings to the side and bends at the elbow and the larger one rotates at the shoulder, swings to the side and bends at the elbow.

Overall: Very good mini version of X-Brawn. Sadly forgotten somewhat because he shipped in a 2 pack packaged with Spychanger Scourge.

Hoist

Hoist is a dark green repaint of X-Brawn - the spare tire is painted orange and most of the internal robot parts are black. It's a reasonable reuse of name with mold even though it's missing G1 Hoist's towing gear which is a defining characteristic of that character.
