Robot Masters Beast Convoy

People maybe following the story of the AWOL box of Series 1 Robotmasters...... ParcelFarce are implicated.....

Mini version of the old BW ultra Op, about the size of the Armada Supercon Op. It's amazing how well it's been miniaturised. Here's the changes I can see:

* No swinging fists gimmick
* No skull morning star
* No TF the arm missile launcher
* Now has Pop up cannons in both wrists.
* No pop up on the shoulder cannons
* No launching missiles in shoulder cannons - moulded in
* Show accurate robot head instead of more traditional Prime head.
* Flip up back pack to reveal jets.
* Moving the head onto his chest causes the face to rotate.

Basically has all the articulation of the original minus the gimmicks, but with some new ones

The swords that store in his back are there as per the original, they peg sideways into the fists as does the missile launcher. Missile launcher is a RobotMasters standard with a smaller peg as well as the standard Energon size ones.

Fantastic, a Must Have. Essential if you love your BW. Worth it if you don't.

Robot Masters Burning Convoy

I could never understand the Japanese obsession for producing multiple versions of their leader toys in BW: Burning Convoy, Flash Leo Convoy, Black Big Convoy...... Having said that I do have a fondness for the clear plastic "Holo" figures that Star Wars has done in the last few years and this is essentially one of them - the Beast Convoy mold in clear red plastic with some details picked out in gold - including the swords. Weapon is clear red too, instead of the blue found on the previous standard RM launcher. Fabulous in robot mode, so so in beast mode - the red somehow looses the detail in the face and the gold flames on the chest look a little out of place. There's a DVD I've not seen yet. Nice as a bit of fun, an attractive robot but not really necessary if you already have the Beast Convoy one.
